Crew for the Schnellboot

Revell s-100 Schnellboot Posted on May 29, 2011 15:23:09

Yesterday I was presented with a late birthday present. 1/72 scale crew for my Schnellboot smiley It’s Revell no. 02525 including 51 figures. 51 figures may be a bit much, but some of them will definitely go on my Schnellboot. Now I believe I have everything I want to start building the Schnellboot. Something else will be built first though. Right now I am intending to start building the 1/72 Tamiya PT-15. Here I have everything as well.

Photo etch set for the Schnellboot

Yesterday I got the Eduard photo etch set for my Revell 1/72 Schnellboot as a Christmas present from my brother and his wife. So far I am very satisfied with the Eduard sets. It will be some time before I start building that boat though.

Now I also got a Revell S-100 Schnellboot

One nice thing is when you find a ship under the Christmas tree. This year I found a Revell 1/72 S-100 Schnellboot with the Flak 38 smiley At first sight it seems like a very nice kit and I naturally started looking around the web for build logs. I found a video at YouTube that seems very informative:
//–>From the video it looks like he is using a Robbe roxxy 1820/16 brushless outrunner for motor. There is lots of other neat details on that boat so I may contact the builder when I get to do this kit.

I also found a place where better decals can be acquired:

Here is a build description:

The build description points to a very good site for flags: The S-100 will definitely need a different flag as it is to be an RC model.
